Crosshaven RFC Golden Oldies Festival - May 16th

E-mail Print PDF
The Crosshaven RFC Golden Oldies Festival will take place on May 16th. The festival which is non competitive is open to players of at least 35 years. Specially adapted laws will be in place to ensure that players can play the game at the level they want. For example players wearing red shorts can only be held and not dragged to the ground while players wearing gold shorts cannot be tackled at all.

With two Crosshaven teams entering, teams are also expected from Sundays Well, Clonakilty, Kinsale, Midleton, Dolphin, Con and UCC. Among those playing will be a number of former internationals including Michael Kiernan whose last minute drop goal against England secured Ireland the Triple Crown in 1985.

Season Update

E-mail Print PDF
I am looking to do a review of the year for all teams (ie a short piece on how the year went, who played well, any special mentions, results of note etc etc - that sort of thing). To do this I need all people (coaches, players, parents etc) with any input to send it back to me (ie any stories, newspapers articles, pictures, match reports etc.) We can then put it out on email and maybe put it up in the clubhouse.
