Crosshaven played Mallow in the final of the of the Mahers Sports South Munster Under 17 Development Cup on Saturday April 24th 2010  in Musgrave Park. Crosshaven having won the toss opted to play against the wind in the first half and were under pressure for most of the first half due to a combination of wind conditions & a far bigger & physical Mallow Pack. Crosshaven were first to score from a penalty kicked by Conor Lyden. Mallow then scored 2 penalaties to lead 6- 3.

The club will hold its Annual General Meeting in the clubhouse on Tuesday June 15th 2010 at 8.00pm. Any notice of motion should be submitted to the secretary 2 weeks in advance. All members are invited to attend the AGM to keep updated on whats going on in the club.

The club is holding a Full Moon Party on Friday May 14th 2010. It's beachwear, bikinis, barbecue and booze all the way - hoping the weather holds up!!!!! Like the Fancy Dress night we hope this will be a fun night, with plenty of music, dancing and craic to be had. Tickets available from Russell Barry

Munster Rugby star Scott Deasy was on hand to officially launch the Crosshaven RFC Tag Rugby League at the club grounds in Myrtleville Cross. Scott who began his rugby playing days at Crosshaven said that he was delighted to launch the league which commences on Friday 7th May. Tag is a non contact form of rugby that is played by mixed teams of men and women. The Crosshaven RFC Tag Rugby League is now in its third year and attracts teams from the local areas of Crosshaven, Carrigaline and Douglas as well as from Cork City.  Matches take place on Friday evenings, with the league scheduled to finish on 25th June. Teams wishing to enter or players looking for a team should email Crosshaventag at hotmail.com.

The club may have some Munster Season Tickets available for purchase. There are various tickets packages available ranging from all Munster's Thomond/Musgrave Park Magners League/Heineken Cup group matches to just Heineken Cup matches. All these differing packages come at various prices. If you are interested in buying one or more season tickets please contact John Donworth at jdonworth at gaelic.ie
 
There will a closing date of next Wednesday March 31st 2010.
 
Can all CRFC members with existing Munster Season Tickets confirm with John Donworth whether they are renewing their season tickets or not.
