After an opening day draw and last minute loss to Clonmel two weeks ago the team really needed to win against Ballincollig in a home fixture on Sunday November 8th 2009. In a surprise result Ballincollig came away with an 11 - 0 win. A try from Podge Bohane and two Keith Stafford penalties was the difference between the two sides. Crosshaven are now in an awkward third from bottom position in the league table. They next play Kilfeacle in two weeks time on Sunday November 29th 2009 in a repeat of a fixture from earlier in the season, when Kilfeacle beat Crosshaven 14 - 12 in the Challenge Cup in Crosshaven.

This really is a must win match for Crosshaven. Another loss will mean the season will be about avoiding relegation rather than challenging for the title.

Upcoming J1 Fixtures:
Sunday November 29th 2009: AWAY to Kilfeacle in the Junior League KO 2.30pm
Sunday December 6th 2009: HOME to Cashel in the Junior League KO 2.30pm
