The J1s lost out away to Richmond last weekend in the Munster Junior League by 26 - 8. This piles the pressure on ahead of this week's match. And so there is a big relegation battle on the cards this weekend as the J1s play their most important match of the year to date (and even of the last couple of years) when the play Thurles at home on Sunday January 24th 2009, kicking off at 3.00pm. Crosshaven find themselves in the unusual position of being at the bottom of the table. Thurles are third from the bottom so this match will go a long way towards determining if Crosshaven stay up in Division 1 this year or are relegated. This is a huge match and all Crosshaven supporters are urged to come up and give their support. Crosshaven will want to keep the up the proud tradition of top level junior rugby so please come and shout them on to a victory.
