Much like Munster the night before the J2s just simply did not "get out of the blocks" against a very strong Cobh side. After some promising matches to date, especially the away win against Ballincollig, this was even more of a disappointing setback. Crosshaven never got any momentum going from kick off and while they did well in the second half it very much one sided. Much credit is due to a good Cobh side whose back play was impressive. Four first half tries garnering a bonus point effectively finished the contest. Crosshaven fared better in the second half but failed to make any impact on the scoreline. Cobh got another two late tries to finish the match. It is on to Dolphin next week. There should be three or four missing/injured players back into the squad which should help things a bit.
The final of the O'Sullivan Cup Final is to be played against Clonakilty. The date has been set for Sunday October 25th 2009 and the venue is Muskerry, but there is no kick off time yet. Next Sunday October 11th its away in Musgrave Park to Dolphin away with the kick off at 12 midday. Please come and support the team.
