The U15s had no match last Saturday, the weekend before the lads played a league fixture away to Kinsale; a team that they hadn't beaten at this level for a number of seasons.  Crosshaven started brightly in the very windy conditions, and quickly crossed the line with Connor Dunne touching down, inexplicably the ref that the ball had gone forward.  however, from the resulting scrum number 8 Luke O'Donnell crossed for the first converted try.  After this several quick scores were landed to leave Crosshaven 26 points to nil after 11 minutes.

Sustained pressure saw our forwards pressing the Kinsale line constantly, and with any re-starts being won unopposed we went into the break forty points to the good.  During the second half, Kinsale renewed their efforts with the match over as a contest, and a dubious penalty try was conceded by Crosshaven.  This seemed to re-awaken the Crosshaven attack and several more tries were registered before the full time whistle.  A good overall performance was put in by the lads, with Connor Dunne again to the fore, and Donal Kiely operating at scrum half provided us with another threat in the loose.  Next Saturday (14th) Bantry are travelling to Myrtleville Cross for a league game, ko 1.00pm.  The lads will be keen to maintain their unbeaten record, and the coaches will be looking for a full eighty minute performance, so any support would be most welcome.

A special mention to our hooker and pack leader, Evan Maverly who was recently taken ill.  All the squad and coaches wish Evan a speedy recovery and look forward to having him back hopefully before Christmas.
