The U17s travelled with only fourteen men due to some players withdrawing at a late stage, however U15 centre Eoin Donworth stepped in and played the entire game.  This was a fairly hard fought contest but Crosshaven showed their experience by converting their opportunities into three tries, two of which were converted by Ciaran Brennan.  It was really thanks to a great forward effort lead by Captain Tomas O'Donovan, that the lads were victorious against a tough but ultimately one dimensional opposition.  This was a good test for the lads, as Carigaline had already played a couple of friendlies, with our U17s having had a beneficial run out against our U19s.  Next week the U17s travel to Muskerry in their second league fixture, and it's hoped that all the squad turn out as they are sure to be required.

Scorers for Crosshaven: Tries: Eoin Buckley, Tomas O'Donovan, Brendan Scully. Conversions: Ciaran Brennan (2)
